Six performers took the America’s Got Talent 2023 stage at once — parents Ron and Barbra Sharpe and their four children: Samantha, Logan, and twins Connor and Aidan. Together, they perform as The Sharpe Family Singers and have long since turned their family’s love of music into a true vocal show.
For their audition, the family chose the famous song “How Far I’ll Go” from Disney’s animated film “Moana.” Instead of an ordinary family performance, they prepared a vibrant theatrical arrangement in which nearly every member had the opportunity to showcase their voice individually.
From the very first seconds, it became clear just how beautifully their voices blended together. Solo parts flowed smoothly into powerful family harmonies, while their energetic delivery made the familiar song sound completely new. Heidi Klum smiled and moved along to the music, while Sofía Vergara watched the performance with delight.
By the end of the performance, the family had completely won over the audience. After the final notes, the crowd rose to its feet and rewarded the performers with thunderous applause. The judges also appreciated the unusual audition: all four said “yes,” allowing The Sharpe Family Singers to move forward in the competition.
But what makes this story especially beautiful is the parents’ past. Ron and Barbra met more than 30 years ago while working in a theatrical production, and later passed their love of the stage on to their children. Years later, the entire family stepped onto the America’s Got Talent stage together, turning a song from “Moana” into one of the brightest family performances of the season.
