Hailing from a tiny island of just 14,000 residents, Deanna made history as the very first person from Anguilla to audition for The X Factor.

Because the long journey to London was financially steep for her family, the tight-knit citizens of Anguilla rallied together to help raise funds for her trip. Standing in front of the judges, Deanna shared that she chose “I Have Nothing” as a tribute to her island community, explaining that without the support of her family and nation back home, she is nothing.
