When four-member UK vocal group Zyra stepped onto the stage of Britain’s Got Talent, they brought more than just striking stage presence—they brought powerful tight harmonies, determination, and a point to prove.
A Second Chance at the Big Time
Made up of Christine (25), Cara (27), Charlotte (27), and Emily (28), the four women had been performing together for two years. Before their audition, they revealed the heartbreak behind their journey: they had previously been signed to a record label, only to be dropped.
Rather than calling it quits, the group doubled down on their passion, working day jobs as dance teachers, actresses, and singing waitresses to keep their musical dream alive.
A Haunting Take on Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire”
Rather than opting for a standard pop track, Zyra took a dramatic creative risk by delivering a dark, vocal-heavy arrangement of Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire.”
Starting soft before building into intricate multi-part harmonies, their vocal control and dramatic delivery immediately won over the theater audience and captivated the panel.
Judges’ Verdict and Panel Clash
The performance drew high praise from the majority of the panel, though it sparked a minor clash of opinions:

David Walliams commended their tone and unique style: “Four beautiful girls with fantastic voices… a really interesting version of that song, really unexpected.”
